Taw Torridge High Tide Roost and Disturbance Study – Final Report

Final report

Identification of Wintering Wildfowl High Tide Roosts & Recreational Disturbance Impacts on the Taw Torridge Estuary

This report identifies 21 existing high tide roosts around the Taw Torridge estuary which are important for wintering water birds. It also identifies the frequency of disturbance from different types of recreational activities around the estuary, as well as the resultant impacts and potential mitigation measures for each high tide roost.

We commissioned and funded the report in partnership with Torridge District Council, Natural England, the RSPB and North Devon AONB Partnership.
